I GOT A $345 TICKET!!!! Expired Tags! Help!!!!?
Today I got a $345 ticket (first one) for expired tags (August 08). I also didn’t have my wallet on me (stupid me), so therefor I didn’t have my liscense or my insurance card. The officer wrote me up for all 3. The total was 345. BUT he said if I go down to the court with my liscense, new registration, and insurance card the judge should let me off on all charges. He also said “Remember the judge is the judge and he/she doesn’t have to let you off if they don’t want, but more than likely they will.”
It’s kinda scary that there is a chance that I won’t get off and I will have to pay 345. What are the odds I get off?
Guess you will remember to have your license and insurance on you next time. All you can do is bring your insurance card and your license in with you to court, the rest is up to the judge to decide.
