Is this suitable for kittens?

My barn cat had kittens the other day (16th) and we found them in the bushes…
We took them in the garage and placed some straw in a rubbermaid tote with a towel over the straw, and then placed the kittens on top of that, the mom cat can get to them to feed them. Will they be warm enough of should I do something else?
The temp was down to 41 last night and it supposed to be down to 30 tonight….

make sure you have water for mom near by.. and kitten food for her to eat.. NOT cat food – lactating (nursing) cats need to eat kitten food

then PLEASE spay your cat.
I live on a farm too – all our cats are fixed.. please do yours the same kindness…
moms body temp will keep them nice and warm.. a cardboard box would be warmer than the plastic though I think…
