How would I go about dyeing my hair dark purple?
I have brown hair with lighter auburn natural highlights in it. This summer I’m dyeing it dark purple, but would I need to pre-lighten or anything like that? Would it damage my hair if I’m just dyeing it darker?

Try this. I haven’t used it before, it’s supposed to be pretty good. It’s called Splat, and what’s nice about this package is that it already comes with everything you need to do before you dye your hair, and instructions. If your hair is brown, I would definitely lighten it. Dying your hair always damages it a little.
