What are some great summer boredom busters for kids that are either free or cheap?
I have three munchkins to entertain this summer, and I want to be prepared. Last year, all I heard all day long was, “Mommy, I’m bored!” Do you have any creative ideas that might keep them busy and entertained for a while?

-Picnics or days at the park.
-I don’t know where you live but in St. Louis there are all sorts of free things from the zoo to the science center.
-Get on line and look up crafts or fun science projects that are relatively cheap.
-You could have them help you plant a garden and teach them about where food comes from.
-Create an obstacle coarse in your back yard, or go and explore the neighborhood on bikes or roller blades.
-Visit the local library and see if they have a summer reading program. Or start teaching your children about different cultures and maybe make a food dish or listen to music that they would. While you are at the library look at some of the parenting magazines, they usually have fun and cheap things to do in the summer.
All it takes is a little creativity and you will have more activities than you can handle this summer. Good luck.
