Is she a Junkie because of me?
I had a friend in high school, we’ll call her Jenny… She went to church, loved Jesus, and always tried to stand up for what was right. I would poke fun, in a playful way… or so I thought, of things she would say. Such as “Don’t say anything in front of me you wouldn’t say in front of Jesus.”.. Anyway. ended up coaxing her into going to a Manson concert, gave her some crushed up Midol and told her it was X. She hasn’t been the same sense. Mean, but MAN it was funny. Anyway.. Now she’s attempting to be strung out on meth. I say attempting beause she doesn’t have the money to do it as often as she’d like, and she’s not hooked enough to go shooting old ladies for their handbags yet. I just feel somewhat responsible for her downfall, then again I feel like everyone knows right from wrong and her choosing the wrong was her own choice and I may have had nothing at all to do with it.
Although you may of gave her the first taste in the end it was her weakness. I’ve seen it before and to be honest some people have natural addicitive personnalities. It’s a sad story and I hope your friend gets the help she needs oneday. In the end as an adult she is responsible for her own destiny.
