How can you knit a scarf wihtout it the sides rolling together like a tube. Have made many different yarnHELP
No matter what yarn or needles they roll. Thanks for any help
Stockinette stitch (knitting on the right side & purling on the wrong side) curls, and there’s nothing you can do about it. Blocking will not help, nor will crocheting around the edges.
Your options:
Wear the scarf rolled (works great with long, skinny scarves)
Fold the scarf lengthwise and seam all three sides
Sew fleece fabric to the wrong side
Otherwise, you’ll need to rip out the entire thing & start over. Either use a non-rolling stitch (garter, rib, seed, etc.) or work several rows at top & bottom and several stitches on either side in a non-rolling stitch with stockinette in the middle.
