How do I get the red/purple tones out of my hair?
I have normally mousy brown hair. I’ve been dying it for the past couple of years to give it a little more color, and recently all these red highlights have come through. I’ve been trying to get the gold tones to come out instead, and I bought hair dye that had ash in it to mute the reds. Long story short, my hair now has a purple sheen along with the red tones. What should I do?!
Been there done that. The best I have seen is wash your hair a few times with a dandruff shampoo. If that fails try a temp hair color.
