When I heat something in the microwave, it’s in an 11 ounce mug. I like to keep it in there for about two minutes. I’m usually making hot chocolate or tea, so that makes it hot enough to still be hot by the time the cocoa or tea is done. So adjust from there if you want to drink it immediately and how large your cup is.
For the skin, you can skim it off the top with a spoon run around the very top of the milk.
