How to give a synthetic cosplay wig waves?
My friend has a relatively straight wig, but needs it to be wavy. She tried curlers, and it didn’t work. Would a curler on the lowest setting work? (I’ve styled wigs with this, it works, it doesn’t kill the wig) Thank you~!!!

Go to the store and buy the cheapest, crappiest Waver you can fine. Not a crimper, but a waver. The cheaper ones use less heat and are less likely to damage the wig.
Spray the with with hairspray, and then wave it very carefully. After you’ve done the entire wig, let it sit for a few minutes and then spray it again.
OR.
Wrap sections of the wig around your finger and then hairspray it. Pin up the curls into circles (basically, just compress the curl so it lies flat) and let it sit. Do this with the entire wig. Let it sit for awhile. Then, let the pins out and let the hair down, and with a wide-tooth comb, comb through the curls, which should give it a wave. This is less likely to damage the hair.
My fiancée, for awhile, would only wear wigs (she was a professional cosplayer and had to keep her hair really short so she’d just wear wigs all of the time) and I would style them for her in the latter way. It makes the wig last longer.
