Scented Sachets question?

I bought 4 “Earth Scents” scented room and drawer sachets at Anna’s Linens and was wondering if it smells more while it is open or in the package?
I was thinking of sprinkling some in my bathroom’s flowers
and in my living room.
Will it still smell as good if I take the dried stuff out or does the smell penetrate more or last longer while closed?

My personal opinion is that it smells better while all together in the sachet……….room potporri works better for large areas. Sachets are more for dresser drawers and cabinets.
