What would the fair market value of human hair be?
or where can I find that out? Also, if it matters what type of hair. I donated 11″ of really thick, wavy-curly, dark brown/copper hair, and I’d like to know how much that is worth for my taxes. I tried looking online, but I’ve only been able to find the cost of wigs/extensions/hair pieces, which are already ready for use, and there was a very wide price range. I honestly have no clue.

I don’t know if you had a thick ponytail of it or what, but on that website you can see what they’re selling their hair for and figure it out from there.
I’m guessing somewhere in the $500 range, but you’d really need to decide that for yourself.
