Relationship advice for women is not the same advice that is usually given to men. Do you wonder why this is so? When men get together, they may crack jokes and laugh but other than this, they just usually share information and nothing else. A woman wants to sit down with her man and talk about their feelings and emotions but her man doesn’t respond the way she wants him to. Men by nature are not expressive of their inner thoughts and relationship counselling for women means she should accept that and not expect her man to be like her.

When dealing with relationship advice for women, it is best to remember that women view themselves as part of a couple or family. Their identity depends in great part on the cohesiveness of their partnership and the family they have. But for men, their identity is distinct from their spouse and they are not as engrossed in the idea of family as the women. Good relationship advice for women is to know the difference inherent in genders and realizing that there is little she can do about it.

This is not to say that men don’t care about their partner; they just put it in a different context. This explains why men don’t call as much or why they sometimes forget birthdays and anniversaries. It is not thoughtlessness or negligence. Relationship advice for women means understanding how the mind of the male species works and why they think and act that way.

But this difference in the make-up of men and women is not an excuse for the men not to meet their women halfway and contribute to keeping the fires in the relationship burning brightly. They should not think that relationship advice for women means bending over backwards for the men. Being more open than usual is a good first step for men to take if this is an important issue with their women. They can also improve on their thoughtfulness or lack of it.

All relationships are made up of two people trying to please the other by giving importance to what the other wants. Relationship advice for women does not mean they should take the back seat and give up everything. It is simply helping women understand their man better.
